Meade County will be accepting written bid proposals for City/County Codifications of Ordinances for the Local Records Program grant from the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives.

Written proposals should be received to Meade County Judge/Executive’s Office at 516 Hillcrest Drive Brandenburg, KY 40108 no later than Wednesday, August 23rd by 4:00 p.m. to be considered.
Meade County Fiscal Court reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted.

🛑 Kentucky School Bus Stop Law reminder from the Meade County Sheriff’s Office.

It’s back-to-school time, and the buses will be rolling. Please use caution in areas with children. Here are some reminders about when to STOP for a school bus!
• 2 LANE ROADWAY – When the school bus stops for passengers, all traffic from both directions must stop.
• 2 LANE ROADWAY + CENTER TURN When school bus stops for passengers, all traffic from both directions must stop.
• 4 LANE ROADWAY NO MEDIAN SEPARATION When a school bus stops for passengers, only traffic following the bus must stop.
• 4 LANES + DIVIDED HIGHWAY + MEDIAN SEPARATION When a school bus stops for passengers, only traffic following the bus must stop.
• 4 LANES + ROADWAY + CENTER TURN When a school bus stops for passengers, only traffic following the bus must stop.
