Meade County Clerk’s Office writes:
ATTENTION MARCH RENEWALS:
Due to the slower processing of motor vehicle transactions due to the continuing transition to the new system, we are asking that if you are due to renew in March to please wait until February or March to renew. We want to serve you with the best of our ability and feel that as the new system is updated with the necessary fixes we will be better to do so.
We currently would like to concentrate on the expired registrations and January renewals as we are overwhelmed with long lines and longer wait times. Some transactions that have issues are taking anywhere from 1/2 hour to an hour to fix.
We also continue to have a huge back log of mail and dealer work that needs to be processed.
I am very proud of my staff and their efforts to serve the community at the best of their ability and under extremely difficult circumstances. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding with us.”
