Meade County Museum and Arts Council is pleased to present the River Heritage Festival on September 26 at the Brandenburg Riverfront Park. The River Heritage 5k run/walk will begin at 9:00am. Booths will open at 10:00am and feature Crafts, Food and Artisan Vendors. Live music will begin at noon and continue all day. Festivities include: Ms. River Heritage Days Pageant, Pumpkin Decorating and Scarecrow Contests, Performances by Bearpaw Chainsaw Carving and the Lucky Duck Pond. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and join us for a full day of family fun!

Meade County Young Leaders Network is hosting the River Heritage 5k run/walk at Buttermilk Falls. The race is Saturday, Sept. 26 at 9am, registration begins at 8:15am. The cost is $20 in advance, 25$ the day of the race. Please go to the United Way website to preregister. The first 75 to sign up get a t shirt and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of each division will receive a medal and a goodie bag. All proceeds go to United Way of Central Kentucky.

These malicious emails take a variety of forms – some attempt to lure the user into opening a malware laden attachment; others provide links to infected websites. Some recent examples include: bogus invoices, false reports of account cancellations and negative credit activity, unsolicited invitations to open secure documents, phony Microsoft tech support and fake antivirus alerts. Please use caution when opening any attachments and be wary of any unsolicited email.
